About Us: Greenwich Volleyball Pariwar (GVP)
Established in 2017, Greenwich Volleyball Pariwaar (GVP) was born from the vibrant enthusiasm and sporting passion of Nepalese youth with a special dedication to the game of volleyball. What started as a shared love for the sport has blossomed into a cornerstone of our community, fostering connection, solidarity, and a spirit of giving back.
Since our inception, GVP has been at the forefront of promoting volleyball within the Nepalese community in Greenwich and beyond. We have successfully organised numerous tournaments and events that not only showcase exciting athletic talent but also serve as vital platforms for bringing people together.
Through these initiatives, we've witnessed firsthand how the power of sport can strengthen community bonds, creating a network of support and camaraderie that continues to grow in popularity.
Beyond the court, GVP is deeply committed to extending a helping hand to those in need, particularly in our homeland, Nepal. We believe in the importance of social responsibility and have actively mobilised to provide support during times of crisis. This includes contributing to natural disaster relief efforts, offering aid to communities affected by devastating earthquakes, landslides, and floods.
Our support also extends to individuals within the sporting world. We have proudly stood by athletes who have faced life-changing injuries, offering assistance and encouragement during their challenging times.
At Greenwich Volleyball Pariwaar, we are more than just a sports club. We are a family ("Pariwar") united by a passion for volleyball and a profound commitment to our community, both locally and in Nepal. We strive to continue making a positive impact through the joy of sport and the spirit of compassion.
